Welcome

Welcome to The Pigpen, Oliver and Naomi Clarke's electronic home. The Pigpen has just undergone a substantial restructure and refurbishment to make it more mobile-friendly and up-to-date (much like our real-world home in Newmilns, East Ayrshire: We moved here in October 2015 and have been hard at it doing the place up ever since).

The Pigpen has been around since the mid 1980's, originally as a Fidonet BBS in Net 250. We hope you enjoy looking around...

Who and Where?

I'm a 60-something retired Police Sergeant, originally from London, but I spent most of my adult life in and around Manchester. Naomi is also a Londoner by birth, but her family moved to Scotland when she was very young.

Naomi and I have been together since 1990 and married since 1995. When I retired from Greater Manchester Police in 2007, we decided to move up to the Ayrshire Coast and spent the next 7 years in Saltcoats, but more recently moved 25 miles to Newmilns in East Ayrshire, near Kilmarnock.

Interests

Naomi is into pets in a big way (but our menagerie is much reduced these days) and spends much of her day gaming on her computer. She likes getting out on her mobility scooter for walks, pottering in the garden and all manner of crafts.

I'm an evangelical Christian, a keen landscape photographer and enthusiastic web designer. When the opportunity permits and the water's warm enough I enjoy scuba diving and I also do a fair amount of D-I-Y. I'm a drummer (mostly for worship these days) and a Bridge fanatic.
