...In my wild youth

Oliver as a Student

This is pretty much how I looked when I walked into Southmill St Police Station in the centre of Manchester to investigate the Police as a career. I left the gun at home on that occasion. I was very much into rifle shooting when I was a student and had a deliberate prone average of 99.5. I've since shot for British Universities, GMP and the British Police team, although I've since given it up and sold my Anschutz Super-Match. This picture was taken at the UAU/BUSF Universities Championships at Ham & Petersham Rifle Club in London in 1977, the year Manchester won the UAU Championship and grabbed the overall record which still stands today, as far as I know.
