Where would we be without pigs? No juicy pork sausages, no bacon butties, no pigskin boots, no pejoratives for police officers [an entire generation of Americans would be lost for words, for a start!]. Pigs are actually very clean creatures by nature, extremely intelligent, and normally very amiable & social creatures.
The name PigPen for these pages arose out of the PigPen BBS, which I ran for a number of years in FidoNet.
I closed the BBS recently because I had no time for it, but in the meantime, with the arrival of Naomi, we had started collecting porcine memorabilia, so my Demon account got named accordingly.
Actually, these days, there's very little in the way of pigs left in our lives. It's more Poodles, Parrots, Hamsters, and Ponds of Koi Carp!! As I've a problem with gallstones, I've even had to swear off the bacon butties for the time being.
