This photo won me a competition locally [!] and is the best of a series of long-exposure shots taken with the aid of a long cable shutter release stretching underneath the table. It took several goes to get the right effect, in that the red balls have to come to rest and be partially solid. Stop too soon, and all you get are the lines; wait too long and the red balls which have moved are too solid. This was something like a 10-second exposure and the hardest part was staying completely still myself after cuing the white ball!
